Women supporting women is what the Mama Hive – my women-only business community is all about. When you work for yourself as a small business owner or freelancer you can feel incredibly isolated with no team or infrastructure around you. Throw family life and juggling children into the mix and finding your tribe of like-minded individuals is vital if you have any chance of success.
Gone are the days of macho networking, industry lockouts, referral point schemes, and the hard sell. Female entrepreneurs are looking for a sense of community, a place to feel inspired and supported not just when it comes to starting, running, and scaling a business but also with their own wellbeing. This is why alongside guest speakers on topics such as branding, marketing, and social media we also place a huge emphasis on stress management, self-care, and personal development too – providing members with a well-rounded approach to running a business.
Women supporting women is more than just a tagline and an inspirational Instagram post. It’s about learning that the real power comes from working together, not against each other. And to really support one another, we need to believe in community over the competition every single time.
