The mission of the Women’s Health Tech Initiative is to measurably improve health outcomes in the areas of fertility, pregnancy, chronic disease, wellness, and sexual and gynaecological health by connecting early-stage startups with the resources they need to succeed.
HITLAB is proud to welcome Natalie Principe, head of digital innovation, strategy & health technologies at Organon, to the Women’s Health Tech Initiative Executive Committee. Building on its leading contraceptives and fertility businesses, Organon is focused on advancing innovations that improve the health of women.
“Addressing the unmet health needs of women globally“.
The Women’s Health Tech Initiative was founded in September 2018 by HITLAB and partners who are passionate about addressing the unmet health needs of women globally and increasing gender equity in technology and venture. Ms. Principe and Organon will join the WHT Executive Committee, a group of passionate, experienced experts in the field who share the mission and vision of improving women’s health outcomes worldwide. Principe joins a distinguished team including Chair Priscilla Beal of Bayer, Vanessa Liu of SAP, Prem Tumkosit of Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, Kris Brown of Goodwin, and Amy West of Novo Nordisk.
Organon is a global healthcare company formed through a spinoff from Merck with the vision to create a better and healthier every day for every woman. The company has more than 60 medicines and other products, serving patients in more than 140 markets around the world.
“More must be done to improve women’s health and the time for that is now,” Organon’s Natalie Principe said. “I look forward to joining the HITLAB Executive Committee, as we share in its vision for harnessing technology and innovation to advance health solutions that address the unmet health needs of women.”
