Arewa Femtech Fest: FSI hosts Virtual Hackathon Event for Women Entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

Financial Services Innovators (FSI) has teamed up with Startup Arewa on “ArewaFemtechFest” under the theme “FINANCIAL INCLUSION FOR FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS IN NORTHERN NIGERIA.” The event is open to software engineers and others who want to create innovative solutions to the challenges of unbanked female entrepreneurs in North Nigeria.

This virtual event is called “Hack4DFuture” and plans to introduce simple, unique and easy-to-use solutions in Fintech, such as savings and credit, innovative payment, and other MSME-friendly solutions for female entrepreneurs operating in Northern Nigeria.

Poverty tends to affect more women than men, according to Mohammed Ibrahim Jega, the founder of Startup Arewa, resulting in disparities in the employment, education and economic growth sectors. That’s why Startup Arewa is eager to build a new partnership with FSI to enhance financial inclusion among female entrepreneurs.

Registration for this event will run from January 18, 2021, to March 4, 2021.

The first, second and third teams will be awarded 3m, 2m and 1m in that order.
